Julie Hine studied at Wimbledon College of Art where she gained her National Diploma in Design, and at Manchester College of Art.

She worked briefly as a magazine and advertising illustrator in the UK and in Ireland, where clients included Petticoat Magazine and Mary Quant, before becoming a professional painter.

Julie lived and painted in Connemara in Ireland before settling back in the UK.

She began by exhibiting and selling work through the Portal Gallery, London for several years in the late 1970's and the Avoca Galleries in Ireland.

She has works of art in the National Collection.

Her work has been collected by such diverse clients as the late Jean Muir and Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. She has exhibited and sold work through numerous galleries in the UK and privately. Paintings have also been produced as cards by Canns Down Press. Her work features in private collections worldwide.

Julie works in artists' oils and lives with her husband, the illustrator David Juniper, by the sea.
